lyrics
If It’s Not Too Late
There’s no ring there that binds you, Not carved in the wood
A cold winter’s rain gonna fall, but you’re washed in the blood
You’re covered in leaves, You’re the ghost in the trees
The wind cries and it sounds just like you used to
You’re painted with mud, You’re the ark and the flood
Not of the earth, You are the sacred soul of truth
I promised I would be good to myself, If it’s not too late
If for any other reason, I might find someone else
And I can be saved and forgive myself and start over again
And not hate myself, If it’s not too late
From the vine wild and ageless, She runs with the wolves
She’s untamed and contagious, To the core from the root
Red Blooded, Right Handed, Red Blooded, Red Handed I swear
Red Blood, Right Handed, Red Blooded, but I still got my left
Honor and virtue, I’ll never hurt you as long as you live
It’s the words that we speak, The words with no sound
The lies that we tell, They’re pulling me down
Like the weight of love pulling me down
Disconnect & Disarm, I only wanted to hold you in my arms
But it seems so surreal, This dream can’t be real
Henry started creating acoustic based folk music under the moniker : To The Boy Elis, a reference from the Austrian born poet Georg Trakl. His love for roots & folk music eventually inspired him to take on a more sophisticated approach to the craft.

What an album! The only reason the album didn't elevate them straight to stardom is not enough people heard it. Modern classic - from start to finish. c1ch
